Inside The Newest LEGOLAND Hotel

Carlsbad, California-based LEGOLAND Hotel opened on Friday last week—the latest addition to the chain, and part of the first LEGOLAND in North America.

Located at 1 LEGOLAND Drive, next to the theme park, the hotel consists three-stories, 250-rooms, and 3,500 magnificent LEGO sculptures—such as the dragon guarding the hotel entrance, which is made of 400,000 of the toy bricks and took 4,000 hours to construct.

According to the folks over at My Modern Metropolis—who visited the hotel to “scope out” the LEGO models scattered throughout the hotel—the place was “made with kids in mind”.

There are play pits filled with LEGO bricks, a huge Castle play area, and finishing touches around the hotel to make it child-friendly.

“Ultimately, children come first,” the general manager of LEGOLAND California Resort told Yahoo! Travel.

“In the parks, we call children the heroes. Parents will find that in LEGOLAND Hotel, as well.”
