When Photoshop’s ‘Content Aware’ Tool Fails, Makes Typographic Art

When the use of Photoshop’s Content Aware tool doesn’t go quite as planned, the outcome could be seen in two lights: as a failure, or as art.

Content Aware Typography’ is a Tumblr created by Italian designer Silvio Lorusso, that views this shortcoming of the software in a positive light.

In a few simple steps, he creates resulting patterns and typography art that are not quite right, yet interesting to look at.

Lorusso also mentions that you can add to this typographic art movement:

1. Chose a picture with some typography in it;

2. Select an area that is close to the letters;

3. Apple Photoshop’s Content-Aware Fill;

4. Submit.
