Wonderful Notebook Drawings That Are Inspired By Pop Culture From The ’70s





Hailing from Pittsburgh, Jim Rugg’s illustrations are inspired by comics and pop culture from the 1970s.



Rugg’s drawings include an illustration of a LEGO minifig sporting an afro, which was fashionable during that decade. There is also a reference to 8-bit computer games, which emerged during that period of time as well.



The artist does not let the notebook’s blue lines restrict his creative process—some drawings are even sketched over two pages that face each other.
